Two Easy Fixes to Revive Our Dying Democracy

Published March 2017 – updated December 2017

If you watch a town hall meeting you can literally see and hear that many of our representatives have no problem lying to our faces. For example, there are countless instances of representatives telling constituents ” yes, i agree with you – we should not repeal before we replace”, etc. But then, when you follow their vote, you find they actually voted for repeal. Knowingly saying one thing and doing another is a textbook definition for lying.

Lying to the press or to constituents does not violate any law. But maybe it should be illegal. These people do swear oaths. But today, these oaths apparently mean nothing. Let’s face it. Our government was formed in the 1700’s.  Words had meanings that were more sacrosanct back then. So let’s get basic.

REPRESENTATIVE. Why did the founders use that word and not a word like Duke?

An elected “representative” RE-PRESENTS an idea or bill. That means the original idea or bill is not necessarily theirs to create. That task could rightly belong to the constituency – which is all of us – which is what a real democracy should be like. But to do that, we need to be engaged, not so much in government, but in the actual issues!represent

And what actually happens after a person gets elected to office and goes to Washington? They all quickly discover there is a pre-existing and entrenched system where big business is paying big dollars to sitting representatives for getting the goals of big their businesses done, not the goals of the constituents.

Hence, we now see the GOP advancing the idea of repealing healthcare, or fixing taxes to be less on the businesses – so they can get their kickbacks. There are DEMS that probably have their kickback issues too, I am sure.

The biggest issue facing the USA today is the ability of elected representatives to get kickbacks through lobbying and hide them in undisclosed foreign bank accounts. Without these kickbacks or graft, as it’s called sometimes, a president like Trump could never have happened.

And unfortunately, the current US president is not only sold out to big business, but also to Russia. A fish rots from the head. Selling out is rampant and its not just the president! It’s our senators, representatives and all those that work with or for them.  And so, the real goals of the US citizens get totally overlooked. We couldn’t get gun laws changed after Sandy Hook. What does that say about the people in charge? Senseless bickering continues because this is what big business wants. And that’s where we are today – and have been here since the 1970’s. Our president embodies the swamp creature that selling out is. But at least, we can at least see the monster clearly now. It’s on TV every day.

A divided country allows big business to continue doing its thing, taking from the poor, giving to the rich. Big business wants profit only. They don’t want the common man to get ahead or even to get an education. Stupid consumers are good for big business. So un-christian. So greedy.  And yet, there they sit in Washington, doing their own business, not the people’s business.

This cannot continue. It has to end and end soon. On this, even the Tea Party and I are in lockstep.  Business knows what will happen if consumers get organized. Incomes will get spread around more evenly, and people will be empowered financially and spiritually to strive for more. That’s not the ideal of Wall Street or K-street, so they pit us against each other. FOX vs. MSNBC , etc.  Make America Great Again” will happen when we share more – not less. That’s the biggest lie Trump is perpetuating – that by handing funds to the greedy we will all be better off. What a crock. Who believes that anyway?

So is the real war folks! It’s an internal war. It’s “we the people” vs. “our sold-out representatives” in national government. So many have to go and 2018 is the next big step. And yes, they are not all sold out. We can tell by the way they vote.

So these are the two easy fixes that can save the US democracy. First, we need place to find our common ground. I personally think we don’t need a wall. I don’t think we need to beef up our military – already the most expensive on the planet. But I am willing to listen to the opinions of others. But where can we have this discussion? Twitter? Facebook? Not the way they are today. We need a real place to have civil discussions and then decide what the majority wants via mock voting on the issues, not on the representatives. The reps should be bots for the majority.

#1 A Perpetual Town Hall. An online site where the issues that need attention are posted. There are expert opinions, stats, chat rooms and mock voting on the first Tuesday of every month. This can easily be done by the folks at Google or Facebook.   (link to my letter to Google and please check it out after you finish this) But they will need to create new sites reserved just for civil political discussions and voting.

Once we have our minds made up on the issues, we tell the representative, sworn under oath, to do exactly what we ask them to. If they don’t do what we have chosen, they are breaking their oath and can be fired. This is not hard to do. Right now the tax scam/bill has about a 25% approval rating. It should be illegal to vote this is in. But they are doing it.

#2 We have to end the ability of an elected national representative to have undeclared foreign bank accounts! This is how so many, Trump, Maniford, Wilbur Ross – et. al. find a way to hide their illegal payoffs. How dumb is it that we allow this? Very stupid folks. It allows criminals and even spies to get inside our government. It has to end!

This is the only kind of representative governmental system that will actually work in these trying times. All else is doomed to fail owing to the essential greed of human nature. Politicians are human beings and politicians must be reigned in to curtail their essential greed.

It will be our fault, not the politician’s fault – if we don’t fix this flaw in the machine we call the US government.

These two simple ideas, once implemented, cannot fail . And it can’t possibly make things worse than what we have now, which is  – “say what you need to get elected, then do what you want for yourself and friends once elected”.

What are we waiting for? 2018 is coming soon. We have the technology to do this right now.  Will someone with programming skills please set this up ASAP? It feels like a one day job by one smart guy. This would change everything. MockDemocracy.US is available. DemocracyLivesHere.com even better.   TownHall247.com is fine too.

This is a link to a newer blog on this perpetual town hall idea. If you know someone up the chain at Facebook or Google, please pass the link on.

josepharonesty@gmail.com Get me here. I’ll support this idea with dollars too.

P.S. There is a political faction called The Pirate Party, that advocates for something like this. Good idea. Bad name.

Conditional Impeachment: Show Your Taxes or Step Down Now

first posted May 2017, updated 11/11/17

impeachThe Russian hack of the 2016 election is now a national security emergency. Donald Trump and his inner circle members distract, deny and get caught in lies whenever Russian connections are brought up.  Trump’s taxes will reveal the exact nature of his financial dealings with Russia.  And that is the only logical reason he won’t willingly show them.  They would answer questions we need to know to be certain that Trump is not engaging in self-dealing and traitorous behavior.

  • Did Trump directly or indirectly pay Russians to hack our election?
  • Does he owe Russians money?
  • Is he trying to square a debt?

This is now past the point of a crisis. With 2018 less than a year away, and nothing being done to stop this from happening again, this is a national security emergency.

In the face of this crisis, not doing all one can to be truthful, cooperative and helpful to our national cause is itself a form of obstruction on the path to the clarity justice. Has Trump engaged in activity which, if done from any other status except POTUS, would be indictable criminal behavior. If Trump is innocent of crimes, he would show his taxes – and put this behind him. It is so easy to do, if one is truly innocent, but quite impossible if one is not.

Bankrupting the USA is a Putin Goal

Every day Trump is in office, we are spending countless millions of taxpayer dollars – not to make healthcare better, not to make infrastructure better, not even to build that stupid wall. Every day he has been in office we are wasting our taxpayer dollars guarding his many homes, paying for his golf, paying congressmen to squabble, and now defending the many criminals and spies in his orbit with endless discussions that proceed ad nauseum.

But now the divisiveness in the USA is wearing thin. We see a glimmer of hope that the left and right agree the investigation of Trump must go on. Republican senators are beginning to see the light. Some have announced retirement – couching their feelings about Trump. Like Caesar and Brutus, expect the senatorial fallout to increase. America has a long, proud history and has countless citizens and representatives on the left and right who are truly patriotic – not just phony king worshipers.

Conditional Impeachment

If Trump won’t show his taxes, our elected representatives – on both sides of the aisle – ask for a “conditional impeachment” of Donald Trump. The impeachment procedure stops if he discloses his taxes, going back 10 years. A representative is sworn to do what their electorate wants. And tax-paying Americans want and deserve the truth about what happened in the 2016 election with the Russians.

Trump is now asking our sons to die for his war projects. If he won’t do that small thing (showing taxes is a small thing for most people) to save us all this time, money, energy and trouble, it will soon be clear to nearly everyone that Trump has no loyalty except to himself.

He has no real public mandate any longer. His approval rate is 33%. It means about 2/3 Americans want an end to the Trump presidency. He cannot govern effectively with such a small mandate. Only a dictator – like Putin – can do that. As we approach 2018, the need clarity on the 2016 election is critical.

Conditional Impeachment

Make Trump this offer. If Trump won’t show his taxes, we will ask for his immediate impeachment. About 70% of Americans will agree with that. That’s a real mandate.

If Trump will immediately show his taxes, he is not impeached. It’s that simple. But we will still continue to pursue justice with Mueller’s independent investigation.

Trump’s taxes are the one thing he has refused to show all along. It’s damning. It is clearly an effort to hide his past sins and dirt. What else could it be?

If our representatives won’t do this, I had proposed a Citizen’s Union to impeach Trump be started back in May.  It seems Tom Steyer got my message and has started that ball rolling. Thank you Tom. But Al Green in the house, this is for you too.

As the noose tightens, Trump will increasingly try to figure out how to get the Teflon back on his magical pan. He has already shown us that creating an international crisis to suspend the constitution and declare martial law – is not out of his playbook. Like a cornered rat fighting for his life, Trump will stop at nothing to save his ill-gotten fortune. Trump must be forced to be open and honest – he won’t do it without force- or be stopped.

Time to think outside the box. This “conditional impeachment” plan will create the right sound byte for all Americans to digest. After all, it should make sense even to people who think or hope he is actually innocent.

The mandate for a “conditional impeachment”  – show your taxes or step down – will be overwhelming. Get that going.

Make America United Again – Polibots

With what came out on Hillary’s DNC election shenanigans today, it’s pretty clear the election of 2016 was a sordid affair on all sides. Both candidates were clearly willing to cheat to win. Trump said this early on his campaign. “What does it matter if I don’t win?” He was even willing to enroll Russian spies to help him. Hillary was happy to throw Bernie under the bus to win. So both sides were clearly crooked. Winning was just too important to these people … and to their parties. And that’s because behind these parties, there are large financial contributors who expect payback for their “investments”. If we don’t find a way to get money out of politics, this insanity is not going away.

American voters sort of knew their two candidate choices were both sold out. For voters, the 2016 election was more about voting out an established, entrenched and tone deaf governmental system than voting in anyone. Bernie, who delivered his populist message from the heart, was played by HRC, who was played by Trump. It was like rock/paper/scissors and spy vs. spy – combined.

Do we want 2016 to be the new standard in US elections? I don’t think so. Maybe politicians don’t mind this syndrome, as they can find ways to milk a rig-able system, but the general population really hates it. That’s why congress has such a low popularity.

2018 is a year away. If we go back to DEM vs GOP, to left vs. right, progressive vs. liberal, god vs. science, white vs. black, Christian vs. Muslim, we will continue to sink as a nation. Divided we will fail. That’s pretty clear.

We need a political attitude adjustment, – a fresh inspiring new idea that can erase the borders we have constructed in our minds.  Maybe this simple idea is it: imagine there were no political parties – or more of them!

The two party system plays a huge part in keeping our country divided. And do you know who likes that? Big business! They do better when their is no unity, focus or drive in the spirit of the working class. And its big business that pays off the politicians. In this new oligarchy of big business, they can bust up unions, not pay for the old and sick and pollute the environment for profit. And if we don’t stop this, the living standards here in USA will continue to sink – as they have been since the 1980’s.

There is an easy way to break up the two-party system. Think along with me. Bernie is in good health. He can run as an independent or create a mini-party that supports his own brand of government. But 2020 is too far away. 2018 will be the divining moment. Imagine if a political outsider – like Tom Steyer, the billionaire turned environmentalist, a seeming Democrat, enrolled a partner from the other party and started a new party/union so to speak. Imagine if Steyer, Corker, Sanders – and/or McMullen said they were going to work together to solve our problems and run as a ticket in 2020.

A simple union between a few key people could change everything. We now have the appetite for this. Americans would absolutely love this because we know we can’t go on divided. The space between the left and right must be closed – but if we try to argue it out – it will never work. Never. We need two adults – well meaning public servants – one from the left and one from the right – to agree to work together, outside of their previous parties. This ticket would surely win in a landslide in 2020, but it could do a great job changing things in 2018 as well.

This would be the way I would run this union. This is my idea, but I am open to other ideas of course. A web site is put up which simulates a mock government. Our key government issues are posted. The population gets educated on the issues at the site from people with experience in the various fields. Videos, chat rooms and a place to have discussions are created. No “bad words” are allowed. (Sorry to go all 1950’s on you, but words can bridge gaps or divide us.)

And then there is a place to place mock votes and take polls. It’s a democracy, so the majority rules. Politicians can make their arguments too,  but the population’s majority sentiment must rule if the USA is going to continue to be called a democracy. In this world, we hardly need politicians to do anything more than educate us and do what we ask in Congress.

A trend we hear more and more about these days is robots replacing humans in the workplace. I don’t favor robots that take away jobs, like self-driving cars would. But when people cannot do their jobs honestly, maybe that’s a place where robots would work better than humans. Robot politicians? In this ideal world I described above, politicians must function as robots. Polibots! They do what their constituents request of them. They cannot be re-programmed, suborned or bribed.

Regardless of what Trump GOP representatives say about promises made on the trail,  my polibots could not support or advance busting the ACA, or tax breaks for the rich because polls show the American people don’t want the GOP’s healthcare or tax breaks for the rich, business-owner class. Both these GOP ideas have support levels that are close to 22%. So they would be DOA in a real democracy.

It sounds like such a dream. A real democracy. A way forward where we build infrastructure, create new jobs that are clean. But we have the software to do all of this right now. All we need is two key people to form a working left/right union and put up a web site. I see the desire for this kind of union – not only in the population – but in the tone of certain key players as well.

So now I ask my followers to make this suggestion to people you can imagine working together with members from the other side and actually stepping away from their parties. Corker seems ideal as he has already has stepped aside. Bernie is an independent – a man who already knows how parties corrupt. McMullen had his own party and Steyer wants a government focused making the USA #1 again in energy and infrastructure. I’d be happy if they all joined forces and started something really new here. And I don’t think I would be alone.

If you like this idea – spread it around on social media. Throw a stone and make a ripple. That’s how these things get started.

buck

Let’s turn the Untied States of America into the United States of America – again. Or should I say, let’s Make America United Again.

I will add this. The WW11 generation fought to preserve democracy in the 1940’s. Their sacrifices will be recorded historically as an effort done in vein if we continue to allow money to sell us out the way we are.

Why Would Putin Want To Instigate Americans Against Immigrants?

The Daily Beast has confirmed with Facebook that the Russian spies, who run every move by their president, Vladimir Putin, did place ads under the name “Secured Borders” inviting people to go to anti-immigrant rallies in middle America.

I have been predicting and characterizing Trump’s “moves” for over a year now. Because I am from his generation, went to the same school and had a similar family education, I can sort of know whats going on in his mind.

Use the search button in my blog for keywords like Russia, taxes, Putin, Korea, and HealthCare. – You will see I have pretty much been on top of Trump’s moves since he entered the race.

But what reasons would Putin have to pay for rallies against American immigrants? What’s in that for him? Only two things make sense.

#1 The Facebook rally ads were done at Trump’s request. It was Trump asking Putin to demonstrate Russia’s amazing new cyber-war machine. Trump wanted to see if and how it worked. So the Facebook propaganda effort was supported by a hope that there would be violence and press coverage at the events they were instigating. (That’s true criminal espionage folks. Worse that the Rosenberg’s who were both executed for being spies.) The Facebook events would help create support for Trump’s nationalist message.  And Putin realized that Trump could not deliver on promises to Putin ( to reduce sanctions ) unless he actually won office.

And while that makes sense, it still does not quite feel like a really good business investment for Russia. There’s yet another reason Trump and possibly even Putin would want anti-immigrant feelings in the USA to foment: # The Wall.

#2 Trump is a builder of large projects by trade. There are all sorts of ways to make a buck on large projects and Trump knows them all. I was a builder of homes in the 1980’s, so I know how the honest side of the building business works. One estimates a project and keeps one’s cost to about 85% of that estimate, making a 15% profit as a goal.

But Trump knows all the other ways to make a buck on a project. One can also stiff the builders, something Trump is actually famous for. One can feign bankruptcy, something Trump has also done many times before. And one can get kickbacks from contractors and have them deposited in one’s offshore accounts. One can hide profits with offshore accounts as well. That’s why it is so important that we see Trump’s taxes.

And that’s also why I think Trump wanted that wall. He knew damn well Mexico would not pay for it. He got caught on the phone with the Mexican president saying it was not that important that Mexico pay for it and that he just essentially wanted him to play along. He even invited him in on the deal with code words. Mexico has an honest president. Good and glad for Mexicans. We don’t. Bad for us Americans.

The Wall was intended as yet another source of profit for Trump and his family. It was an 8 billion-dollar project. Even the honest 15% markup is a cool billion. And I’ll bet right now, once we follow the money trail of the wall, the way Mueller seems to be doing now,  we’ll find Russians were part of that intended profit stream.

That desired back-channel to Russia makes more sense now, does it not? These are the kind of things that can be done best with a back channel.

And then the Russians, paying for Facebook ads to instigate anti-immigrant sentiment, finally makes good business sense. Perhaps Putin was in on the wall. That would be a good business reason to foment anti-immigrant hatred here in the USA.

When is it going to dawn on enough US citizens that we have effectively a Russian operative serving as our president! We have an Espionage Act. It was enacted in 1919 to prevent exactly what we are witnessing. Google it. Then let’s do something about it.

What do I think? I think the president and his entire appointed staff should temporarily be placed under house arrest until the truth is discovered. We must stop the cover-ups and lies and open up their books. They should all be relieved of their posts and duties and on put standby until the truth is exposed.

We can operate just fine in the USA with just a senate, house, judiciary and generals. We don’t really need a president at the helm. And certainly not a president who has offshore accounts and Russian connections that go back 30 years.

Trump swore the presidential oath. He has broken that oath.

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Faithfully is the key word. Faith is a form of fidelity. In this case, it means one is beholden or obliged to none other but the United States. Fellow Americans. We know this in our hearts and by the reports that are leaking out every day. Trump is not faithful to the USA, to Americans nor to you. And that should also disqualify him because it contradicts his sworn presidential oath.

faithThe Marines’ semper fi means always faithful, and two hands clasped in prayer is the symbol for faith. There is a reason for the two hands in the faith symbol: two clasped hands are self-bound, hence disarmed. This logic is also the source of the nearly universal custom of shaking hands to signify an agreement.

Trump can say he is working to the best of his ability. I believe that. He was never a very smart or thoughtful person. He was lazy in many ways ( He paid for his homework to get done at Penn.)  and he has a short attention span. So how good could he really be as president without those key personal qualities? He can say he is preserving the constitution, because that’s a long document that can be interpreted many ways.

But Donald J Trump cannot honestly say he has been faithful to the USA and its people! He knows this and, by now, so do we all.

So why is he still there?

We will continue suffer, emotionally and financially, every day – as a country, as citizens, as parents and as individuals –  for as long as we let this very expensive mistake we made, continue.

Cyber-Warfare Is the New “Cold War” and Putin Is Its First Grand Master

noun: cyber-warfare
  1. the use of computer technology to disrupt the activities of a state or organization, especially the deliberate attacking of information systems for strategic or military purposes.

cyberwarAfter World War II was over, a new world order was established and The United States assumed the dominant position in that new world order for having won the war and for having the biggest shiny new weapon, the A-bomb. Russia never fully accepted subservience to the USA. And so the Cold War era – with wars waged without bullets – was born. The main weapon of the cold war was espionage, in other words – spies.

That 50’s-60’s cold war era cooled down with time, but it never fully went away. Since the advent of the internet in 1996, the main weapons of that cold war – have increasingly become electronic. It’s now called cyber-warfare. But until now, it always seemed to refer to something that was going to happen in the near future. Cyber-warfare summons up visions like electric grids gone down, banks hacked and drained of cash reserves, and even cars that drive off cliffs.

But cyber-warfare is no longer a thing of the future. The hacking of the US 2016 presidential election will be remembered as the first major attack in “the cyber warfare era” and Vladimir Putin will be dubbed its first master.

Ask yourself this. What are the objectives of any entity that initiates an offensive war? If war is not launched to stop foreign aggression or for defensive reasons, it’s done to obtain things, resources or territories that do not properly belong to the attacker. It’s done for booty. The same reasoning pirates use to rationalize raid ships, right?

And so, the evidence and consensus is now that Putin/Russia attacked the United States in 2016 via acts of cyber-warfare – in order to get their chosen candidate elected as the president of the United States. We have already lost that war. It’s over. Putin has won that war. But the war was not initiated for fun. Cyber war is expensive. The cyber-war players expected payoffs.

However, these two questions still remain.

Now that the Russian cyber-warfare is getting exposed, will Putin still get what he wanted from his horse in the race, so to speak? Putin used his mastery of cyber warfare to help put Trump in as POTUS for concrete reasons. Those reasons are agendas, lifting of sanctions, resources, money and territories – the very same objectives desired in an offensive war waged with bullets and bombs.

OR

Will the laws, traditions, citizen backbone of the USA resist with such solidarity that Putin’s man in office, Donald Trump, is rendered powerless to give Putin what he bargained for? Will we resist this Russian coupe of our executive branch so that Putin’s preferred candidate, Donald Trump, is exposed for espionage, indicted, and at least impeached?

It should be clear to all of us, if we don’t expose and indict the perpetrators of this cyber warfare attack, we are giving those same players a green pass to do this over and over again.  And if we swiftly don’t make 100% sure this cannot happen again, it will be the same as if we had lost a war waged with bullets and signed terms of surrender. Yes, less bodies. That’s a technology perk, I guess. Cool. But maybe not for us.

It occurs to me that cyber warfare has come of age because our modern, high-tech nuclear and biological weapons are now so lethal that they really cannot be used. A need for warfare without death evolved – a way to get what you want from war, without the fallout from actual war.

2018 is a year away. We immediately need open-sourced hack-proof voting systems. These are not expensive. The technology already exists.

GOP!  Congress! Stop bickering about walls, gays, and what is not important. This infighting is exactly what Putin wants.  Or are you fully surrendering to Putin?

The hacking of the US 2016 presidential election will be remembered as the first major attack in “the cyber warfare era” and Vladimir Putin will be dubbed its first grand master.

Trump’s Main Problem: Cheating To Win

There is only one real truth. That’s why the word one hides inside the word honest. Unlike sociopaths, healthy humans don’t feel inner peace while hiding lies.  People who are well eventually learn to be honest with themselves.

I knew Trump from U of P. He was a rich, big city playboy type. In our one common Wharton School class, International Finance, he rarely showed up. When I inquired about that, I discovered out he was paying a classmate to do his work for him, and his dad was a big contributor to Penn.  I was told “don’t worry about Donny”. I still remember those exact words. I was made to feel like I was out of my league for even asking.

I was a sophomore, when Donny was a senior. We all knew his dad was very rich. I got into Penn on a scholarship. Not sure if my dad could have afforded Penn without that. But paying for homework is a form of cheating, is it not?

I moved back home after college. Margate was a sleepy Jersey shore town until casinos got approved in 1978. I met Trump again in 1985, when he opened the Trump Plaza. He remembered me from Penn back then. We said “hi” in his hi-roller room one day.

trump-cardBlackjack and Trump

In the 1980’s, I was a very skillful blackjack player. Given the chance to play fairly, I could usually emerge with a small win. I was never a high-roller, but I can still memorize 52 cards, a skill I developed from playing gin rummy.

Unlike Vegas, there were no laws in AC that allowed casino staff to throw people out for skilled play. But at the level I was playing, the most I was going to win was maybe $200 a week. Fun money. Nothing serious.

No casino came down harder on skilled players than Trump’s Plaza. They even told the cocktail servers not to serve the card-counters any drinks – not even water! They used to make up stories about skilled players, saying they use foul language, so they could throw them out for a cause on the books. They were not fair sports in any sense of that word.

The Trump Plaza security staff accidentally killed one card counter when they “tazed” him and he had a pacemaker. I know the lawyer in AC that still has those details.

Once again, Trump was willing to do anything to keep anyone from beating him for even $200 a week. Anyone who is wealthy enough to own a casino, and is not willing to win and lose by the rules of the game they publish, is a cheater because they are willing to win, but not lose.

Trump often uses the term, “losers”. It’s something he learned from his casino-owner days. Trump always has to be the winner. Everyone else is a loser. That’s how Trump still sees people.

Trump was also willing to cheat to win by stiffing the contractors that built his casinos and declaring bankruptcy while awash in cash which he then moled to foreign banks. This 1980’s period is when his money-laundering schemes connected him to international financial criminals. Cheating to win at taxes. That is what started him on the trail that led him to RussiaThose chickens are now coming home to roost.

Donald Trump has been cheating to win his entire life. He even warned us of this on the campaign trail with“what does it all matter if I don’t win?”  That is a quote.

And so, it should now be very clear that Donald Trump was more than willing to cheat to win the 2016 presidential election. Cheating would have been nothing new to him. Hopefully, that election cheating will soon be exposed.

But even as you read this, Trump is still trying to cheat to win. He cries “fake news” when the truth is published. He asks Congressmen to get Russia off his back. Trump is now trying to cheat justice. It’s why they call it obstruction of justice.

I don’t think Congress as a whole will help Trump obstruct justice. He may have dragged some congressmen into the Russian swamp with him, but there are over 600 congresspeople. He can’t drag them all down. And the generals won’t go there. They have had their own gig here for 250 years.  They won’t let Trump spoil that, and they shouldn’t. It feels like the truth will come out soon. We will see.

Had Trump not cheated in school and gotten away with it, he may not have cheated in business and then politics. If Trump had won the 2016 election fairly he would have had no need to fire Comey, which begat Mueller. Had Trump not been a cheater at heart, Russia would not now be on his mind nearly every waking moment. And then he might actually have had a chance to be a decent president. But cheating to win has been Trump’s modus operandi. I saw it when he was 20, 36 and now at 72.

And so Trump has absolutely no chance at all to be a decent president or even a decent man. And we all know that. Even his base knows this down deep. People are not stupid. People are not losers the way he thinks.

To Donald with love,

Donald. It’s not the media. Its not Congress. It’s not your enemies. You have been a lifelong cheater. It started young. Fess up? Well that’s not you, is it?

The best thing that could happen to you, your family (and us) is that you actually get caught for cheating, leave the office of president and pay something for your crimes.

Then you could redeem yourself and perhaps rededicate your life to a selfless noble cause. Consider becoming a philanthropist, like Bush, Gates and Bill Clinton have done, at least to some degree. You will still have plenty of money left. You will be fine. Really. It might even feel good to you. I say this with love for a fellow traveler on this earth. We are all the same.

Or maybe just make a deal to step down and not get caught. That’s okay too. You could say your feet hurt – again. Pardon my sarcasm. But you could devise one last lie and say you have to step down for health reasons. Right now, we’d take that.

Etymology Teaches Us Why Trump’s Delayed Responses Don’t Seem Sincere

The word “sincere” comes into English via French and Latin.  SIN in Latin means without. (sans in French) CERE means cerebral, head or thought. SINCERE means WITHOUT THOUGHT.

When Trump spoke first on Charlottesville, it was off the cuff, without much thought. Those first words came from his heart. (Heart is not quite the right word here, is it?) Later, after speaking with advisers and reading the polls, he dressed his first words up, rephrasing them to appease more people. Those second words are no longer sincere, by the very definition of the word sincere.

Donald also fails to have honor, according to the root definition of that word.  Honor means “one word”. The “hon” in honor represents one and the “or” represents oral. It’s that simple. When a person has one word they have honor. But Trump consistently and historically has been shown to reverse the things he says be believes in. That’s not honor. He does not even know what that word means.

So, by the truest definitions of these words, Trump has neither honor nor sincerity. And for these reasons, he is not even qualified to be a public school teacher, let alone be president.

Disclaimer: Sorry to use that metaphor my teacher friends. Teaching is super important work. But there are standards one must pass to be a public school teacher. Do you think Trump could get a teacher job after Access Hollywood was released? Not!

So Trump’s delayed consolation re Charlottesville seems insincere and his double talk ( as our parents called it ) has no honor. Without neither honor nor sincerity, Trump should not will not likely survive a full term as POTUS. And all those aligned with him will fall with him. This is why we see CEO’s bailing on DT right now. They are getting the jump on 2018. There will be no wiggling off this hook in 2018.  All aligned with Trump are going down, if he even lasts that long.
